Linda Dutrow
Linda Dutrow (aka Mimi Linny) - Now retired after 42 years of office management service with the City of
Frederick, Maryland, Linda’s life-long love of writing poetry has always been a fun way to capture stories, songs, holidays and life’s adventures for family, friends and co-workers. Specializing in the strength of rhyme and rhythm, creativity and imagination, retirement has given her the opportunity to pursue this love of assembling the written word into poetic form. |
There's nothing better than to spend special time with a loving grandchild and being able to share memories of the past.
My little 5-year old granddaughter, Kennedy, came up to me one day, gave me a big hug and excitedly pointed to her feet! "Mimi Linny! See my pretty new shoes!" "Oh, my," I said. "They are so beautiful! I wish I had a pair just like them!" Giggling, she said, "Oh, Mimi! I don't think they make them that big! What kind of shoes did you wear in the olden days?" What a perfect opportunity! Out came my photo album and we started at the beginning! Looking back upon my life I find myself in thought Through all the years my love for shoes I’d ever worn or bought |
