Who is J2B Publishing?
Who We Are: J2B Publishing is an Independent Publisher established on April 23, 2013 with the initial purpose of publishing and distributing the Uncle Rocky, Fireman series of picture books.
Our Beginning: The history of Uncle Rocky, Fireman goes back to 1990 when our two oldest, Ben and Luke, were 6 and 4. Katie decided I should spend time with them and put them to bed each night. I did this with a story - Uncle Rocky, Fireman. Uncle Rocky, Fireman began a father-son time that was great fun then, produces wonderful memories now, and with Ben and Luke now adults, is being happily carried into the future with our grandchildren. We wrote and illustrated the Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories in the hope that you will have the same fun with your kids as we did with Ben and Luke. Our Growth: With the steady growth of our picture book catalogue (Feast of Memories, Who Wants a Cookie, and the Officer Jack series) we realized we were publishers and distributors of "Good Books for Boys and Girls." We hope you will enjoy reading the books in our collection to your children, for both the wholesome and helpful content of the text and the quality and beauty of the illustrations. Our Promise: We promise that the picture books we publish will model families that like each other and enjoy doing things together because the parents are loving and kind and their children are caring and respectful. |
The adult characters (Uncle Rocky, Fireman, Officer Jack and EMT Morales) in the "Glad To Do It!" Series place great value on public service and commitment to duty. Their humility when praised for helping others provides an example children enjoy emulating.
Our Future: J2B Publishing will continue to find authors of good books for boys and girls and provide them a platform to share their stories. I hope you will enjoy the works we publish. |
If It's On The Marquee, It's Official
A wonderful time was had by all on Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, for the Honoring Our Heroes award Ceremony and two showings of a dramatic presentation of The Adventures of Uncle Rocky, Fireman at the Port Tobacco Theater in La Plata, MD. We honored Charles County fire, police, and EMS personnel and then saw a play about a fireman who likes to help.
