JT Sims, in her debut work, A Wanting Heart, impresses with the breadth of her imagination and range of her firsthand experiences woven into her poems. Pencil Under the Desk, You Said, and Peanut Tree are immediate reads. Readers will also enjoy the double meanings in many of them.
JT Sims writing began with fiction and short stories at age twelve, mainly inspired by her imagination and her childhood treehouse.  She swapped the treehouse for a literary lair in her beach style bedroom and branched out to poetry. A Wanting Heart, has been a project of hers for several years, coming to fruition in 2022 as a result of the urging of friends and family.
