The "Glad To Do It!"© series focuses on the adventures and exploits of Uncle Rocky - Fireman, Officers Jack and Kate,and EMT Morales. The books are labeled "goods stories for boys and girls" because the stories are free of bad behavior and the characters are friendly, honest people who enjoy helping their neighbors. In addition, the stories emphasize service to others, devotion to duty, and courage in the face of danger. Every story teaches humility in public service as each character responds with "Glad to do it!"© when praised for their service.

Uncle Rocky, Fireman describes the adventures of a firefighter and his two nephews, Ben and Luke. Apart or together they fight fires, promote fire safety, rescue people, and help neighbors. The fun of reading the books is that kids get to act out "Getting Dressed for the Fire," make all the fire truck sounds, and mimic Uncle Rocky as he gives his trademark answer, "Glad to do it!"©
